Angling Coach Brendan O’Reilly reports that he brought a young man Glen Finnegan on a pike trip Tuesday last and had a great days fishing. We started fishing about 11 am and fishing was slow on sink and draw. Brendan got one on the floated roach that weighted 8lb 4oz and the fish had only been returned when Glen hooked up as well. Almost immediately Brendan’s rod went again as he had a bait on the bottom. Unfortunately, Glen lost the fish but Brendan’s weighed 8lb 6oz. The fishing was crazy for the next couple of hours with 5 eight pounders, a nice 7lb fish and 3 five pound fish. The day ended with 65 lb of pike landed by the two anglers.
