The River Inny has dropped a little in recent weeks, and I did not chance going down to Lough Iron last week. Having fished to the Railway Bridge down River, and back up river to Coolnagun Bridge. Here some lovely Pike took a shine to my colorful Jig head lures. The perch were reluctant to come on board, but hopefully this week, they will come on the feed. If you are planning a trip on Derravaragh or the Inny System Karl Meehan had boats for hire, and can be contacted on 085-8003525.
JIGS AND REELS. Some wonderful colored rubber lures are available in your local Tackle shops, and you will be very surprised what a Predator fish will latch onto. These lures can be fished on very light gear, and you will have great sport catch Pike and perch on colorful Jig head Lures. Just check out the colorful selection in this weeks Angling Focus. Some might say it’s the way you “Wriggle Your Worm”.
