This report from the organisers of the Perch Master Ireland league:

Over the last few months Perch Master Ireland has organised 7 rounds of the only perch fishing league in Ireland, the format is simple enough – we choose dates, venues, and we fish them. Simple enough but all the same difficult because good perch are not that easy to catch!

During these months we meet anglers from all over Ireland and Northern Ireland. We all fish the same venue that was picked and voted on the WhatsApp group.

Today 5th of October we held the last round on a section of a fast-flowing river in midlands, as we expected after the rain last week river was high but clear water, we all knew that will be hard but we stick to the plan because we needed to close the league.

Early in the morning 17 anglers turned up at the meeting point in a carpark near the venue, as usual at check-in we all received sponsored lure from Lucky John Ireland and Westin-Fishing perfect lures for perch in Irish waters.

Anglers did their best during the day to catch 5 countable perch and at the end of the day, after checking all pictures and release videos, we could award the round winners

  • Second Place – Ben More
  • Third Place – David Dennis
  • Longest Perch – Madalin Rotarescu

All the rounds results were saved in our leaderboard and penalty points were carefully calculated, and we have the winners for this year Perch Master Ireland 2025 league

  • First Place – Ben Moore 11 penalty points overall + sponsors prize + cash prize
  • Second Place – David Dennis 13 penalty points overall + sponsors prize + cash prize
  • Third Place – Viacheslav Rusko 16 penalty points overall + sponsors prize + cash prize
  • Longest Perch – Mantas Fisherman 38cm + sponsors prize + cash prize
