Cllr Seadhna Logan proposed that the Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District members are provided with a report regarding the water level management of Lough Rinn and the river feeding into it, as well as any relevant information regarding flood risk and flood risk assessment of the entire area.

Speaking at the October meeting of the Municipal District in Aras an Chontae, Cllr Logan said, “A number of residents and owners of agricultural holdings have raised concerns about high water levels in recent times and are very concerned at the high levels of water given the low levels of rainfall.”…
