Midland Angling’s Michael Flanagan tells us the Pike boys are back:
Last week Stan Ryan and Justin Gorden were featured in Angling Focus with some super pike. They had planned another trip to Derravaragh after the fantastic fishing and this time took pals Jim McDonnell and Willie worth on board. The lads arrived on Donore shore in brilliant sunshine, and the Lake was looking a million dollars with just a slight breeze blowing that would keep the boats drifting nicely. Willie and Jim had not really done much pike fishing and Jim never actually caught a pike before, but this we sorted during the day. Jim and Willie had 10 lovely pike with some well into double figures. All the fish were caught on the troll with colorful lures, and were in great condition.
