Pawel Orlow from the Fishmaniak Fishing Club reports on the clubs last pike competition which was held last weekend on River Shannon at Banagher. The competition started at 8.30am, following a meeting and short briefing during which each team got a club measuring tape and instructions. The weather was quite good with mix of clouds and sunny intervals. The  event was very successful and 22 anglers took part in the competition. A great days fishing was had by all and the lads managed to catch 72 pike all together. The biggest pike was caught by Krystian – 81 cm of length.

The Results of the Competition are as follows:

1st place – Krzysztof Sibiga – 8 pike – 450cm of length in total

2nd place – Krystian – 6 pike -350,5cm

3rd place -Janis Kucans – 6 pike 307cm.

As usual after the event the lads had a barbecue and the prize-giving.
