Today was the first day of the year that felt like winter was coming to an end. The sky was blue, the birds were singing and we had another springer. John Parkinson had a sparkling sea liced fish of 8lbs from the back of the vets at Tullaghan.
John is well known to the angling fraternity and always ready to offer advice from behind the counter at Home Field and Stream in Enniskillen www.hfs-online.com . Its great to see John, who has been catching early springers on the river and lake for as long as I can remember, back on top form.
Congratulations also to Denis O’Toole who has just been appointed Fly Tying Ace at www.amangling.com The credit is richly deserved as Denis ties meticulous quality flies that have been tried and tested to great acclaim on the river. He will be a great addition to the team at AM.
