Wet weather to continue as the Drowes remains high

Lindsey Clarke reports from the RIVER DROWES – Monday 3^rd  to Sunday 9^th February 2014.

With the week remaining very wet, the river continued to run at very high levels with the gauge reading around 0.9 metres all week! A dry spell would be very desirable at this stage and make the river more accessible. There were a few rods fishing over the week. Gerry Fox recorded a 6lb salmon caught on a spinner from The Meadow on Friday. Unfortunately, the forecast is for the wet weather to continue and so the river will remain high this week again.
