The bass close season came and went and now bass anglers are back on the County Louth coastline still “plugging” away in search of this fine sportfish. Ciaran O’Ceartaigh and his fishing buddy David Harrison have tried a few sessions on the Louth/Meath coastline recently and have had some success too. Two keen catch and release anglers, the lads had a word with local tackle dealer and angling guide Peter Cunningham before venturing out to have a go last week. They were rewarded with some nice fish the best of which was a fantastic 72cm fish taken by Ciaran that weighed in at 8.5lbs.  Conditions were ideal, low cloud cover, warm and clear water with plenty of feed around.

For up to date angling information, advice and top tackle, tips and techniques that work why not give Peter Cunningham a call or book him for a days guided bass fishing out on the Louth/Meath coastline. Peter can be contacted at 086 4682516 or by email at [email protected]
