The first of a two part blog post from our weekend fishing in Co. Donegal.
We headed out at first light only to find a massive ground swell running and the first mark completely blown out ….. things looked grim but we headed back to the car and started to formulate a Plan B.
A quick 20 minute drive took us to the next spot and on first glance it looked a little calmer and at least it would give us the chance to throw a line in the water without getting washed off the rocks!
We scratched a few wrasse on heavily weighted, static soft plastics before switching over to articulated shads like the Fiiish Black Minnow.
It wasn’t long before my dads rod slammed over …… watch and see!
A cracking example of what the west coast of Ireland has to offer the roaming lure angler and also just shows how deadly the Fiiish Black Minnow is …. It is a pollack magnet!
It doesn’t end there though …. keep an eye on the blog later in the week for some more footage of another cracking pollack which I nailed using a similar technique.
