There have been some bass caught recently on the County Louth coastline with anglers having varying degrees of success. Some locations have been heavily weeded which has hampered lure fishing but despite this a number of fish have still been recorded. One angler had two small bass on bait last week on Baltray beach and one or two fish to 5lbs have been reported on lure between Clogherhead and Dunany. Some fish have also been reported from the north Louth coast but again fishing in some locations has been hampered due to lots of weed in the tide.
