The Lough Swilly Sea Angling Club hosted another very successful International Tope and Whitefish Festival over the recent Whit weekend Bank Holiday.
50 anglers competed each day in the Tope and Whitefish sections.  49 tope were landed and all were returned alive and well.  Overall 18 varieties of fish were recorded, including a specimmen Tope of 44.03 lbs and a spurdog of 13lbs.
The Tope section was won by Fred Mills from Millisle SAC who landed 15 tope for a total weight of 417lbs with second place going to Brian Finlay from Possilpark SAC in Glasgow with 227.66lbs.
The winner in the whitefish section was Davy McCormack from Millisle with 679 points and second place went to Dano Gallagher from Culdaff SAC.
Best Juvenile was Eoin McLaughlin and the ladies prize went to Elaine McNeill from Glasgow.
