The weather has been a bit less kind this week since the heatwave ended, with windy conditions making boat angling tricky. A new group in for the week with Luke Aston enjoyed fishing in the estuary though, with some nice thornback ray and tope to the boat.
A weather window on Tuesday did allow them to get further out and they headed for Loop Head, where they picked up some mackerel in lumpy conditions. Then they headed west to fish some inshore reefs, which produced some nice pollack, ling and tub gurnard.
As the wind swung into the north west and freshened they headed for shelter and finished up with some nice Huss and Tope at anchor.
