The NCFFI National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland reports:
Funding from the Sports Council via the Angling Council of Ireland enabled us to provide coarse and predator tackle and safety equipment to our junior angling hubs across Ireland earlier in the year.
Feedback from our coaches suggested that although comprehensive kits were supplied there was a need for the use of whips in the development of our juniors. At a recent meeting of the National Executive it was therefore decided to utilise the junior Development fund to purchase 100 whips for this purpose.
Those clubs with junior angling hubs who have a record of working to develop their juniors may apply via e-mail to [email protected] to receive a set of 10 Trabucco ‘Revenge’ fibreglass 6 metre whips.
Clubs will be notified of their successful application and the equipment can be collected in Dublin at our AGM on 23rd January 2016 or earlier by arrangement.
The Junior Development fund is financed via anglers attending our national events and is essentially a pegging fee donated by our organiser members to subsidise entry, prizes and the provision of complimentary refreshments. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the anglers who contributed.
