The Irish Ladies Flyfishing Association will be holding their first trial of the 2015 angling season on Lough Leane (Collinstown, Co Westmeath) on Saturday 18th April.
This is the first of 4 trials which will be used to select the home team for the Ladies International Fly fishing Championships in 2016 when the Irish team will travel to Scotland to fish at Carron Valley.
The event is open to all members. To become a member please visit www.irishladiesflyfishing.com and in order to take part in this competition it’s essential to become a member before Thursday 9th April.
The event is being organised in conjunction with the Lough Leane Anglers Association.
For women who’d like to learn to fly-fish there will be several days throughout the year to introduce women to angling and social days for members and their friends.
