Greg Latour of Tir na Spideog reports on the pike fishing at Lough Allua…
Lough Allua pike are feeding well. Some guys say that summer piking is useless. Well, this was the biggest pike caught on the 2nd of july in 2,5 m of water .

The pike measured 107 cm and weighed 22lbs. After a few photos it was quickly released and water temperatures of 16 degrees certainly won’t harm the fish. My wife Sigi caught several pike on the day and most pike are currently caught on dead bait.
The Macroom Pike Anglers fished their 3rd competition of the year on Lough Allua on July o5. The longest fish of the day measured 99cm.
