Kevin Lyons from Melview Lodge reports that had some nice pike on a range of methods last week…

Alain RENAUDIN from France who is a regular visitor to Kevin and Jane at Melview Fishing Lodge in Longford was here once again for his annual Pike fishing Holiday.

Kevin said that during Alain’s stay the weather through everything it possible could at us. But this did not shop Alain catching some lovely Pike during his stay, we were using various dead baits both on the bottom and just popped up from the bottom.

Some day’s did prove hard going due to weather conditions so both wobbled baits and even the fly with a sinking line were used and both methods worked for us. Alain is already looking forward to his next trip to Ireland and Melview Lodge.
