Sixteen year old Joseph Davy from Ballaghaderreen certainly enjoyed his birthday with a day’s piking with angling guide Kenny Sloan Foxford.
Joseph caught a total of seven pike, mostly trolling dead baits and lures over a 12 m hole where shoals off roach were gathered. His biggest pike of almost 15lb was his best fish to date.
Joseph is now well hooked on pike fishing and is planning another trip soon .
