William Thornton reports that the Easter holiday weekend saw an increase in anglers on the River Moy with 4 salmon reported caught.
On Sunday East Mayo Anglers had their first salmon of the season, a nice fish of 10 lbs to Kieran Reid Bohola on spinner. This was followed by Martin Curley, Athlone with an 8.5 lbs fish on spinner. Tomas Rowley, Swinford had a 10 lbs salmon on spinner which he released.
Downstream of Foxford on Gannons Fishery Eugene O’Boyle also had a small fish on spinner which he released.
With “ Good “ weather continuing and water levels dropping fast prospects for the coming days are very good.
