12/06 Nice fish landed today by our Icelandic fishing guests.! These boys certainly know how to use the “Francis”
Fine fish of 8lbs. Water level was reading .20m on gauge.
08/06 The river is in cracking order and a nice few fish seem to be moving through the beats. Eddie O’Connell who is a syndicate member here in Fort William for a number of years had his first of he season on fly off the Castle beat. Eddie’s fish was 5lbs sea-liced. While yesterday Aidan McCarthy from Cork landed a nice grilse off the Glenmore beat also on fly. Aidan’s fish was 4.5lbs. Water level was reading .20m.

17/06 It was a warm overcast day today, but with an occasional chill wind. The forecast remains dry for the coming days. The upper river at Millstreet & Killavullen is almost steady. Killavullen gaugeis at 1.21m. Clarity on the upper river is 6-7 feet. The lower river at Ballyduff is down to 0.30m at 23.00. Clarity is about 6-7 feet. Water temperature at Ballyduff: 10.6ºC / 51.8ºF.

Catches: 30 for the month to date, and 62 for the season so far.
17/06: A couple of fish to 10.7lb today. A dozen fish were showing on one of the upper beats.
13/06: Very few rods out yesterday, but a couple of fish met & of ~6lb lost as the angler didn’t have his net with him in a spot you couldn’t beach a fish! A number of grilse were seen moving through the lower beats.
12/06: Very few rods out, but 4 fish met & one sea-liced 3½lb. grilse landed.
09/06: Cyril Killeen (Limerick) had a 14lb salmon on the Lug Pool on Lower Kilmurry on spinner by . It would have been released, but it was hooked much too deeply.
Prospects: Both the upper & lower river continue to be in cracking fly order. Tides are peaking at 3.9m tomorrow (Thursday) which should encourage more fish to run.
Availability: No problem for rods & accommodation at the moment.

Ballyduff Bridge
16/06: Quite a few grilse seen running through yesterday. B. Finlay from Tyrone had one take on fly but unfortunately it didn’t stick.
11/06: Reports of a reasonable run of fish in the lower river yesterday. Maurice reports one fish landed on Ballyduff Bridge already this morning. The fish was caught on fly by Brendan Peppard weighing 8.5lbs.
