LAUNE SALMON AND TROUT ANGLERS’ ASSOCIATION WATERS AND BEAT 3

As of Wednesday 1st April Laune now running at 2 foot 9 inches on the gauge at Johnston’s.  No sign of fish today but conditions should be perfect for the weekend and Easter week.  The tides will be high water will be lovely and the weather will be a lot pleasanter than of late.

Best chance of a fish at the right time for the high tides about 2 to 3 hours before.  But with the high water we have now fish can run the river anytime they want.

Saturday High Tide 18.20 – 4.3 M

Sunday High Tide   18.51  – 4.4 M

Monday High Tide  19.21 – 4.4 M

Morning tides too early to fish.

Prospects: I think I said this time last year that 2014 would have to be better than 2013 it the same this time, surely 2015 can’t be as bad as 2014.

Permits for Laune Anglers waters for September will cost €35 still excellent value compared to other fisheries and the chances of a fish.
