LAUNE SALMON AND TROUT ANGLERS’ ASSOCIATION WATERS AND BEAT 3

Angling Report 13th April (Email to Laune Angling Report)

Laune Salmon and Trout Anglers’ Association waters and Beat 3.

As of Tuesday 14th April Laune now at a beautiful 2 feet 6 inches on the gauge at Johnston’s after a slight rise yesterday.  Conditions perfect – the only problem there is no news of salmon being met or caught in Laune Anglers Waters.

There was a slight increase in angling effort with the suitable weather and water but I only heard of one encounter with a small sea trout.

That said in these lovely conditions it’s well worth a try, it has to happen soon.

Prospects: I think I said this time last year that 2014 would have to be better than 2013 it the same this time, surely 2015 can’t be as bad as 2014.

Permits for Laune Anglers waters from now to the end of July only €25 per day.

Beat 3:

Perfect water on Beat 3 but angling effort still low to non-existent.
