After the first fish of the season, caught by Nigel Lackey on February 15th, another springer was landed on the River Moy last week. The lucky angler was Gery Seck, Crossmolina, who caught his fish on the Ballina Salmon Anglers’ water. Gery’s salmon took a worm and weighed 8 lbs.

Despite rising water levels, angling conditions should remain fair for the coming days.

The first salmon of the season was also reported from the River Bonet. Nigel Hannon from Dromahair had a fine 8 lbs. springer while spinning at Dromahair.
