Ghillie Vincent Appleby reports on the salmon and sea trout fishing in the last week of the season on Lough Currane:

7/10/15 Mr. Sean Brick of Tralee, while fishing on Lough Derriana with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com caught and released a fine Sea Trout of 3 lbs. Now we head down stream to Lough Currane, UK angler Mr. Sea Smith, caught two trout, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com

8/10/15 UK angler Mr. Sean Smith, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea ofwww.oshealoughcurrane.com again caught two Trout to his rod and just for the record Sean had a good battle with a Lough Currane Game fish in the past few days and his Gillie reckoned that Sean’s fish was in double figures, but the fish won the day. Wind South light with reasonable cloud cover.

9/10/15 All quiet on the SW front. Wind SE fresh with good cloud cover.

10/10/15 UK Angler Mr. Sean Smith, fishing with his gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught a couple of sea trout to his rod and for the rest of the angling community all quiet on the SW front. Wind East light and overcast.

11/10/15 All quiet on the SW front. Wind, their was more coming from the anglers if you get my drift!

12/10/15 On this last day of the 2015 season the only boat to record a catch were Mr. Michael Smith and his Son, record Sea Trout holder Mr. Sean Smith of the UK and Ireland, they caught 3 Trout all while fishing with their Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com  and all were put back and for the rest of the angling manipulators thy failed in all departments, if you get my drift. Wind East light. On a personal note as always I have enjoyed giving all the facts on the No Spin No Fly’s Zone. To All you Anglers that took the time to send your reports and photos in, a great thanks for that, because you the readers that makes this all worthwhile and I thank you for that and last but not least I would like thank all the team in the Inland Fisheries Ireland at www.fisheriesireland.ie for their great help this 2015.  I will see you on January 17th  2016 we will celebrate the 1916 rising of the Salmon.
