Report for week ending 06 September:
The Owenea ran at low summer levels for the greater part of the week. The highest reading of the week was only 0.16m on Wednesday. The gauge average for the week was only 0.12 metres. This meant the river was fairly quiet and only 8 visiting rods fished for the week! We have no recorded catch of salmon to date.
