LAUNE SALMON AND TROUT ANGLERS’ ASSOCIATION WATERS AND BEAT 3

Angling Report 18th May (Email to Laune Angling Report)

Laune Salmon and Trout Anglers’ Association waters and Beat 3.

As of Monday the 18th May Laune in beautiful condition for all methods at 2 feet on the gauge at Johnston’s.

The only good news from Laune Anglers waters is that there are a good few nice sea trout to 3 lbs around.  News of salmon is very scarce but we live in hope that the fishing effort and the fishing will improve with the weather from Wednesday on.  Good high tides as well from today on.

Beat 3:

Beautiful water on Beat 3 also and there was a nice fish of 7 lb. landed there spinning during the week.

Prospects: I think I said this time last year that 2014 would have to be better than 2013 it the same this time, surely 2015 can’t be as bad as 2014.

Permits for Laune Anglers waters from now to the end of July only €25 per day.
