Ger Murphy, skipper of Sea Breeze III out of Kinsale, was also on the trail of the first blue shark catch report yesterday. Unfortunately the lads were not quick enough off the mark, being narrowly beaten to the prize by Tom Collins’ Loch an Iasc out of Union Hall. The Kinsale boat did herself proud all the same with a big blue of about 100lb. Ger’s Dutch anglers made his return to the water all the more special with this early shark.
