Greg Latour of Tir na Spideog reports on the pike fishing on Lough Allua…
15 August: After yesterdays guided tour with 7 pike , today’s guided trip resulted in 4 pike only, but 2 personal bests for my italian clients measuring 92 and 98 cm . Tomorrow’s trip will be last chance for them to crack that magic 100cm mark….
16 August: Fishing does not always fishing go to plan – but this time it did! My italian customers Giorgio and Mimmo increased their PBs again today, and they did in style. Giorgio caught a cracking 112cm pike and Mimmo increased his PB from yesterday by 2 cm to catch a pike of 100cm. Spot on! A few more good fighting pike were released on the guided tour on Lough Allua , Co.Cork.
