Frank Maunsell from the Owenmore Fishery reports:

1st May 20016: Finally the wind has swung around southwest, away from those cold northerly and easterlies. We had rain in the hills last night and had a nice rise of water about a foot high with the result that there are some seatrout moving. They were active in the estuary for the past couple of weeks and now with the rise in temperature the real run of fish will finally start. The rest of the week is supposed to be dry but with the southwesterly we get a mist along the hills which keep the river topped up hopefully.
