Billy Downes reports that as of Tuesday 7th June Laune water level very low at .8m. The Laune is still fishable by all methods but a rainfall that brings the level up by .5m would be welcome.

The only few fish I heard of during the week were met by Thomas Ward on Beat 3. Tom managed to hook and play four fish in two days (Wednesday and Thursday) but he only landed one. News of any other fish/salmon is scarce other than sea trout and brown trout which our members continue to enjoy later in the day.
Beat 3:
Beat 3 is the only fishery I heard of producing fish for the past week but the Beat in in need of about two feet of water. The Brown trout fishing continues good. Please note that the €10 trout permit allows an angler to fish for brown trout ‘fly only’ If you want to spin or worm fish you need to purchase a €25 permit.
