Lindsey Clarke reports from Owenea Fishery – Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th August 2016.
There were a couple of small freshes on the Owenea over the week but overall the river ran at low levels. The best conditions occurred during the freshes of Monday (0.24m) and Friday (0.22m). The gauge average for the week was low at 0.16 metres. The fishery was understandably quiet with only 23 rods fishing for the week. 17 of these fished over Monday & Tuesday. No visiting rods fished at the weekend at all. To date I have no records of fish caught during the week.
