01 January: No fish have been reported today. Almost 50 anglers braved high water and wet and windy conditions, especially this afternoon. More rain is forecast over coming days. Current water level is .904 metres.

02 January: No fish to report from day 2 of salmon season 2016. Today was much milder with light rain and drizzle all day. Water levels have dropped a little to 0.884 metres.

A GoPro 4 Session is the prize for the first salmon of the season on the Drowes to be caught and released. This is part of the ongoing “Knock the priest on the head, bring a camera instead” incentive to encourage the preservation of spring stocks. Releases must be verified, with photo/video. T&Cs apply.
