Fabulous pollack fishing on the fly for Eire Bass anglers

We are still getting reports of good saltwater fly fishing from Cork harbour. Richie Ryan has had several groups of foreign tourists out over the last week and told us about fabulous pollack fishing on the fly. Many big fish have been lost in the kelp. While it’s frustrating , it keeps the anglers keen Richie says !

Our photos show French anglers Laurent Roso and Arnaud Boviere with some fine pollack they caught with the Eire Bass guide during the week. Laurent stopped using the fly mid session to try a lure on a spinning rod for a while. He wasn’t long about reverting back to the fly again when he saw Arnaud’s rod doubled over into the water with a huge pollack ! The Frenchmen were converted and vowed to return again for another session with the guide.
On his days off Richie is also picking up some nice bass from the shore, as can be seen from the photo below.
