Kit Dunne of Wicklow Boat Charters gives a round up of the last week of fishing at Wicklow where everything is biting!
12 July: What a week, My Newcastle guys hit Wicklow hard, hounds n ray, met Finbar Furey, Kieran shaved his head for charity and tope come hard and fast today.
13 July: Not a bad day’s work. We had 12 tope landed, biggest 156cm, heaviest 38-39lb. Plus plenty of hounds, specimens and to go with the Huss and Ray. Catching 2 dozen mackerel at the start of the day made it all possible.
14 July: Specimen Tope in the bag! Happy days, we got a specimen tope today, measured 163cm. We also had about 2 dozen good Huss and specimen hound to 13lb inshore.
18 July: All smiles for Ronnie Reynolds, with his 11.25lb, 101cm Specimen Hound. Well done and thanks to the Borough SAC.
19 July: After a slow start with Southerly 4 to 5 in shallow water, we made a move to greener pastures. Patrick Fagan, Keith Marsella, and Belinda Kennedy ended up having a great day catching 9 tope and bulhuss too.
20 July: More good fishing today with tope and smoothies to the boat
