Bannow Bay Anglers report on a great turnout last Sunday to fish the Martin Halley memorial competition on Woodstown beach. They extend their thanks to the Halley family and Rhinnshark club for great day food and prizes.
On the day the fish were not plentifully and the catches consisted mainly of flounder ranging from 10cm to 39cm and Bass from 28cm to 54cm plus some small whiting. Richie Dalton winner of the memorial competition.

Bannow Bay Angling club was founded in 1995 by a group of anglers in the Bannow/Wellingtonbridge area to cater for all types of shore angling, fishing in the estuary and on beaches along with rock fishing in the Hook Head area to give its members a wide variety of fishing and to cater for all age groups.
