Killinarden Angling Initiative remind us of their great fundraiser for Pieta House at Oaklands Fishery in New Ross on 28th May:
(FISHING For Pieta)
This whole event is aimed at raising awareness among The Angling/Fishing Communities . Too many people have taken their own lives young & old or have self-harmed in some way.

KAI - Fishing for PietaMental illness does not discriminate.  If we can make more people aware through our sport/past time that there is help out there for people who are in need of it .
The money we raised will go directly to Pieta house, but the awareness we raise is more important .
To all the sponsors of this event you have our thanks tor making this possible.
Killinarden Angling Initiative -KAI are hoping that this event and more like it will achieve it’s main objective (AWARENESS )
We are also aking people to take sponsor cared even if you are not fishing at the event, you can take a card and sponsor a team of your choice.

KAI was set up in March 2014 in Killinarden, Tallaght. Its principle aims are to promote, develop and improve angling in the Killinarden and the greater west Tallaght area and is affiliated with the National Coarse Fishing Federation Ireland. During the summer months the main work of the initiative is taking young people from Killinarden on fishing courses .The Initiative has also been a catalyst in setting up a children’s and Adult fishing club in Killinarden for many of these young people and giving them a hobby they can enjoy for life.
