Camlin and District Anglers held their Ray Gill Memorial Competition on Sunday at Lanesborough. It was a crisp blustery Spring day. Water levels had risen significantly over the past couple of weeks which made fishing challenging. This was our first competition in which we used measuring boards and the fish were measured rather than weighed. Prizes went for the 3 longest fish over 50cm.

Joe Mc Dermott of Ambush angling Ireland and Denniston’s of Longford sponsorship went towards the measuring boards and the committee should be applauded for all the hard work they put into having everything ready for the day.
