Billy Thornton, IFI Ballina, reports that due to inclement weather conditions and fluctuating water levels angling effort was poor throughout the Moy system over the past week. However 6 salmon were reported caught with George Moore from Northern Ireland catching the first salmon of the season on the Armstrong Fishery. An 8 lb bar of silver caught on the worm.
