We arrived at the mark and we all put down crab baits. We fished through the dogs and picked up a few nice hounds, 2 of which were specimen fish.
Stephen decided to try a mackerel bait for tope, even though this particular mark, was not well known for them. Well it is now! He landed two fish weighing in at 37 and 38 lbs.
I was the next to get a run which I missed. I made up for this by connecting with the next fish and landed a 47lb tope. We had a few more hounds later in the day close to specimen size.
Beautiful weather, amazing fishing and a great skipper. Nice way to spend a day.
