Judd Ruane reported that the excellent sea trout fishing on the Moy Estuary continued for another week. There are still plenty good fish in the bay and fishing sand eel and mackerel strip seemed to be the most productive method.
Amongst the successful anglers on “Pegasus” were Tom Duffy, Dermot Wyne, David Brown and Harry Feeney with 60 sea trout over three days, best at 2.14 lbs. Paul Brennan and Dick McGuinness had 22 (18 released) over two days, best at 2.6 lbs., while
Dave Cox, Frank Neary and Joe Byrne caught 9 fish (6 returned) on Saturday, best at 1.7 lbs.
