Late autumn sunshine on Corrib
Late autumn sunshine on Corrib

Aidan Traynor reports on the 2nd annual “King Of The Corrib” Catch and release Pike comp run by Predator Hunters Ireland, which was held at Greenfields on Sunday the 18th, on a beautiful late autumn day.

Ready for the off – boats and competitors gathering

We had a great turnout again this year – 30 like-minded anglers took to the water fishing in a team of 2 anglers per boat.

The scoring was the 3 longest Pike to be measured, photographed and carefully released again. The fishing was hard work but a few lucky anglers managed to meet the required 3 Pike.

A nice pike on the measure

Winning the junior prizes were Zack Flaherty and Callum Rickard.
