Aidan Traynor reports on the 2nd annual “King Of The Corrib” Catch and release Pike comp run by Predator Hunters Ireland, which was held at Greenfields on Sunday the 18th, on a beautiful late autumn day.
We had a great turnout again this year – 30 like-minded anglers took to the water fishing in a team of 2 anglers per boat.
The scoring was the 3 longest Pike to be measured, photographed and carefully released again. The fishing was hard work but a few lucky anglers managed to meet the required 3 Pike.
Winning the junior prizes were Zack Flaherty and Callum Rickard.
The longest Pike of the day went to Evaldas Gusarovas a whopping 110cm.
In 3rd place were last year’s winners Łukasz Znamiec and Krzysztof Michonski, 2nd place went to Aiden Flaherty and Conor Lowry and in 1st place Aidan Traynor and Evaldas Gusarovas.
The day was a great success and we would like to thank all of our wonderful sponsors, I.F.I for the great help with biosecurity and all the anglers that showed up on the day, roll on next year!
