John Chambers, IFPAC, has the results of the latest Go-Hire Qualifier fished on Sunday…

Very hard going on the Erne today. The river was very high but the water was gin clear. It rained continuously all day. Conditions put a lot of anglers off. The 32 anglers who turned up caught 19 pike to 12lb 08oz

The top 5 who qualified were;

  • 1st. Diarmuid Smyth (Scotshouse) 2 pike 16lb 11oz
  • 2nd. David Walsh (Durrow) 3 pike 14lb 13oz
  • 3rd. Kevin Foley (Limerick) 1 pike 5lb 10oz
  • 3rd. Kevin McParland (Newry) 1 pike 5lb 10oz
  • 5th Anthony McCabe (Newry) 1 pike 4lb 09oz.

The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs (IFPAC) is a body representing pike anglers in Ireland, North and South.The IFPAC was founded on 17th January 1988 at a meeting held at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan.
