With a touch of spring in the air and water levels near perfect The Moy enjoyed a very good week (ending 25 March) with 25 salmon reported caught throughout the system, bringing the total to date to 36. Prospects for the Easter holiday weekend are looking very good.

Ballina salmon anglers reported 12 salmon caught with local angler Sean Comny taking a 7 lb fish on worm and his two friends, Northern Ireland anglers John O’Neill 10 lbs and Chris McGovern 7 lbs on worm. There were 6 Salmon were reported from the Foxford area with John O’Connell taking a nice 9 lbs fish on The Foxford Salmon anglers water. At Pontoon Bridge Local angler Colm McAndrew  landed a 9 lbs salmon on prawn.
