Water levels remained high all week once again. The river was very high on Monday reading 0.92 metres on the gauge but the river gradually fell over the week and by Sunday the gauge was reading 0.80 metres. The fishery was quiet during the week but fairly busy on Saturday.

On Friday, Brian McEvoy reported a 7lb salmon caught on a ‘Yellow Belly’ Devon Minnow from The Meadow. There were also a couple of salmon hooked and lost during the week.
At present the river is dropping nicely and at the time of writing the gauge is reading 0.75m
