Monday 11st to Sunday 17th June 2018.
The Owenea ran at very low summer levels from Monday to Friday but on Saturday we received a good flood (0.46m) which meant Sunday also had fair levels (0.22m). The gauge average for the week read 0.16 metres. The fishery was very quiet with only 3 visiting rods fishing on Sunday. Despite the poor conditions over the weekdays, there were fair numbers of salmon reported.
On Wednesday, Alan Watson recorded an 8lb salmon cught on fly from beat 9. On Friday Alan reported a 7lb salmon caught on fly from beat 8.
On Saturday, Anthony Carr recorded a 12lb salmon caught on fly from beat 4.
On Sunday, Alan Watson reported 2 salmon weighing 9 & 13lb caught on fly from beat 8 and Anthony Carr accounted for 2 salmon 4 & 15lb caught on fly from beat 4.
