There has been very high water since the beginning of the season on the Lackagh. This week however saw levels fall to more desirable levels. Angling attendance has been low with only 1 or 2 rods fishing per day.
The 1st salmon of the season was caught on Wednesday. This was a fish of around 9 to 10lb caught and released by John McLaughlin on a badger tube fly from the tail of the Grilse Pool.
The 1st salmon arrive around this time of the year so we would expect rods to start meeting a few more salmon
