Laune Salmon and Trout Anglers’ Association, reports that no salmon have taken on club waters but there are reports of fresh fish on Lough Leane…
As of the 22nd Feb 2018 there have been no reports of any Spring Salmon caught on the Laune yet. There was one fresh fish reported lost on the fly almost 2 weeks ago by one of our members when the river was running at 1.7m.

There is news of fresh fish caught and seen in Killarney so fish are certainly running the Laune. Angling efforts have been light so far but conditions haven’t been favorable either.
The river is currently at 1.75m and is again in good order for fishing.
The forecast is giving dry weather for the next week so water level’s will continue to drop which will be welcomed, particularly for those looking to get the fly rods out.
