Billy Thornton reports from the banks of the River Moy where on on Monday Athlone angler Billy Brett, fishing the Ballina Salmon Anglers water in Ballina, had a 6.5 lb fish on worm. Over on the East Mayo waters Martin Parker had a 6.5 lb fish on fly, which he released.
On Tuesday Ballina Salmon Anglers produced again. This time Club Secretary Jerry Seck had a fine fish of 8.5 lbs on worm.
