Reporting from the Pontoon Cup… The second edition of ‘s PONTOON CUP 2019 took place on the 27th October in Lough Ree. The competition saw 60 water craft and 119 anglers launch from Ballyleague Marina in search of the biggest pike on the Lough Ree and the River Shannon in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands region.

The mighty water home of the 2016 FIPSed World Championships wasn’t shy and produced 133 fish with an average length of 69cm. It was a Catch, Photo, and Release event where the fish are measured onboard the boats, recorded by photo and quickly returned to the water alive. members members at the 2019 Pontoon Cup

There was a splendid cup and an array of sponsored prizes awaiting the winning teams along with a prize for the biggest individual fish.
