Week ending Sunday 11th August 2019.

 Angling conditions continued to be difficult last week with fluctuating water levels and very unsettled weather. Angling effort was up slightly on the previous week with 181 salmon reported caught across the system.

On the Moy Fishery Ridge Pool Emmet Stagg, Kildare had 5.5 lb salmon on spinner while Henry Stagg had a nice 1.75 lb Sea trout.

 Upstream Ballina salmon anglers reported reasonable fishing with a number of fish caught on the spinner in the canal stretch. On Mount Falcon UK. Angler Jan Buckland landed her first ever salmon with three further fish landed on the same day, all on spinner. On the Foxford Fishery Shannon Creagh [Photo] from Dublin also had her first ever salmon taken on a spinner. Michael Conway and Bill O’Regan from Dublin had a fish each on the Cloongee Fishery. On East Mayo Anglers water James McLean NI.  had 5 +8 lbs on spinner, John Wilson NI. 7 lb. on spinner, Clark Little NI. 4.5 lbs on fly and Celia Fry UK. 4 lbs on worm.
